Harold L. Acha

Harold L. "Hank" Acha, 84, of Elmore, Ohio, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at his home. He was born in Honor, Michigan on August 14, 1924, a son of Laverne & Norma (Stafford) Acha. Hank was a pipefitter for American Shipyard in Toledo, retiring in 1983. A member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore, he played dartball for the Ottawa County Church League for over 50 years. On August 29, 1952, he married the former Frances Lemke, and she preceded him in death on December 22, 1989. Hank is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Lynn Acha, Elmore; brother, Leslie "Bub" (Jan) Acha, Gladwin, MI; sisters, Nelda (Kenneth) Burrows, Mildred (Lewis) Heilmann, Lorita "Toots" (Bob) Rayle, all of Beulah, MI, and Donita Andrews of Honor, MI; special nephew and family, Ray & Stacie Heilmann, and Dustin Ashbaucher; special daughters, Katrina (Kitty) Cousino and Lauretta (Ron Boyer) Carlson; special grandchildren, Amie Cousino, Jeremy Cousino, Shawn Cousino, Charlene Edwards, Holly Edwards, and Jonathon Edwards; special great-grandchildren, Lukas Crue Cousino, Anastasia Hoddinott, Jake Kobel, Kerri Kobel, and Hunter Edwards; Barb Swain of Beulah, MI, niece, Rhonda Tromely, Beulah, MI, and great niece, Danae Lowry, Beulah, MI. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Edith Marie Acha; brothers, Gaylord, Treverne "Pete", and Gerald "Whitey" Acha; sister Raydella "Bette" Wheeler. Family and friends are invited to call from 2-4 & 6-9 P.M. Sunday at Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday. Rev. John W.
