Garland J. Heineman, 84, of Elmore, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at Otterbein Portage Valley in Pemberville, OH. She was born February 13, 1923 in Elmore to the late Jacob and Verna (Damschroder) Giesler. On January 17, 1948 she married Ralph Heineman who preceded her in death on August 27, 1984. Ms. Heineman was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Elmore where she served in various church groups; such as the Honor Workers, Choir, and Women’s Guild. She also belonged to the Washington Martha’s Farm Bureau. Survivors include her son Mark (Melissa) Heineman of Woodville, OH, brother Myron (Sue) Giesler of Elmore, Audrey Rader of Toledo, OH, grandson Joel (Linnie) Heineman of Carlsbad, CA and great- granddaughter Savannah. Visitation will be 6-9pm Monday and again Tuesday at 10am, at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Heilman officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Elmore. Following the Committal Service at the Cemetery a luncheon will be provided at the St. John’ s United Church of Christ. Memorial Contributions are being directed to either the St. John’s United Church of Christ or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
