Franklin V. Rofkar, Jr. 84, of Port Clinton, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born March 4, 1930 in Port Clinton the son of Franklin V. and Stella (Raikes) Rofkar, Sr. He married Sharon Wightman on March 19, 1955 and she survives. Mr. Rofkar worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Ares, Inc. Port Clinton. He previously worked at Standard Products and Port Clinton Manufacturing. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He loved comedy, laughter, Mozart, Tom Waits and gardening. He especially loved all of his friends and co-workers. Surviving are his wife: Sharon; daughter: Pamela J. Rofkar of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Ian J. Christiansen, Victor L. Christian; great-grandchildren: Aislynn Christiansen, Kismet Christiansen, Karma Christiansen; sister: Julia (Donald) Pole of Sandusky, OH. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
