Evelyn Lieske

Evelyn G. Lieske, 95, of Port Clinton, OH died October 21, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born Nov. 25, 1919 in Elmore, OH the daughter of William and Florence (Iffland) Smith. She married Lawrence E. Lieske on April 6, 1940 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1981. Mrs. Lieske worked as an office manager for the Ottawa County Farm Bureau from 1937 1940. In 1956 she began working for Ralph J. Bauer & Associates and eventually purchased the business, retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. Evelyn enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and close friends. She loved to travel especially to Spain, Mexico, Alaskan Cruise and Hawaii. Surviving are her sons: Lauren (Connie) Lieske of Port Clinton, Larry (Karen) Lieske of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren: Jeff (Debbie) Lieske of Lacrosse, WI, Jason Lieske of Las Vegas, NV, Melissa (Jeff) Groen of Silver Spring, MD; two great-grandchildren: Alexander and Katie Groen. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH where the body will lie in state from 10:00 until the time of the service. Interment will be in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa immediately following the service. Rev. James Lehman will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 from 3:00 7:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH.
