Eunice D. Wadsworth

Eunice D. Wadsworth Eunice Dell Wadsworth, 80, of Port Clinton, OH joined her many friends and loved ones in heaven, passing peacefully at her home on April 20th, 2015. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Lisa Bruno (Jeff Bumbera) of Marblehead, Debbie Wadsworth-Dubbert (Gene Hawkins) of Port Clinton, and Janet (Doug) Roberts of Perrysburg and her seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Van Buskirk, Brandon and Heather Dubbert, Sarah Bruno, Emily Roberts, Nickolas Wadsworth and James Roberts. Eunice is also survived by her sister, Thera Deese (Paulsboro, NJ) and brother, Wardell Locklear (Hackett, AR). She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Lyell Wadsworth, and her son, Jerry (Joanie) Wadsworth, and brothers Leon and Develry Locklear. Born June 7, 1934 in Pembroke, NC, Eunice was the daughter of the late Wardell and Fannie Locklear. Miss Eunice formerly worked at Standard Products for 30 years as an inspector, but was always first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother. She had a passion for gardening, often sharing flowers and vegetables with many friends and loved ones. So many also benefitted from her joy of cooking and her generous gifts of homemade canned sauces, pickles and vegetables. Her great skill at sewing, fishing, creating, refurbishing, and generally doing anything she set her mind to was and forever will be an inspiration to all who knew her. Eunice's amazing "can do" attitude afforded her the ability to achieve great accomplishments often to the benefit of family, friends, and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. A memorial service in celebration of Eunice's life will be held on Monday, April 27 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton Street in Port Clinton, OH with Pastor Mike Sell officiating. Friends may join from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services at 11:00 at the funeral home. A private burial ceremony will be held at a future date. Memorial donations in memory of Eunice may be made to St. Annah Baptist Church (Prospect Rd., Pembroke, NC 28372) or the American Indian College Fund (8333 Greenwood Blvd., Denver, CO 80221).
