Ethel Wilber, 95, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Fremont, Ohio. She was born on August 2, 1920 in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of George and Isabella (Davidson Campbell) Perrott. She married Adair C. Wilber on October 22, 1940 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2002. Ethel graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1938 and Sandusky Business College. She worked as a legal secretary for her husband's Law Office in Port Clinton for over 30 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Port Clinton. Ethel enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and helping others. She also enjoyed traveling with her family throughout the United States and Canada. She spent a lot of time outdoors tending to her plants and feeding the birds. She was very knowledgeable of Port Clinton history as she lived here since 1924 and saw many changes over the years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and her 2 cats, Smiley and Catoo. Survivors include her daughters: Evelyn Lepard, of Fremont, Ohio and Mary (Dave) Gill, of Port Clinton, Ohio; son: George (Kathy Jo Schweitzer) Wilber, of Port Clinton, Ohio; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister: Margaret Fatiga, of Lakeside, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son: John R. Wilber; and brother: Harold Perrott. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 10am until funeral services at 12pm with Chaplain Gary Click officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
