Eleanor M. Kokinda

Eleanor M. Kokinda, 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1924 in Ashtabula, OH the daughter of Paul and Matilda (Brandon) Hug. She married Joseph F. Kokinda on April 5, 1943 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2001. During her younger years, Eleanor worked at Mother's Kitchen and she assembled ordinance at Erie Ordinace Depot during the War. Surviving are her sons: Terry (Donna Sue) Kokinda of Louisville, Ky, Perry (Cindy) Kokinda of Port Clinton, Duane (Betty ) Kokinda of The Woodlands, TX; daughter-in-law: Susan Kokinda of Frankfort, IL; grandchildren: Kara Dietrich, Kory Kokinda, Louise Kokinda, Ellen Kokinda, Laura Kokinda, Kasey Kokinda, Kolin Kokinda, Zachary Kokinda; great-grandchildren: Kelsey Dietrich, Kyle Dietrich, Vinnie Kokinda and Joey Kokinda. She was preceded in death by her husband, son: Larry Kokinda, brother and sisters. A Celebration of her Life will be conducted at 10:00 am Monday, September 15, 2014 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452.
