Douglas A Blevins

Douglas A. Blevins, 69, of Catawba Island, died Friday June 25, 2010 at The Willows at Bellevue. He was born October 20, 1940 in Oneida, Tenn., the son of Dale Blevins and Sylvia (Phillips) Blevins Bordner. Doug was the owner and operator of Blevins Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Catawba Island Fire Dept, the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and American Legion, all of Port Clinton. On December 5, 1959 he married Marian Williams and she survives along with his son Doug of Oak Harbor; daughter Debbie (Adrian) Cantu of Port Clinton; grandchildren Brooke, Brittani, Emma and Ethan; sister Sharon (Ron) Sprunger; brothers Larry (Ruthanne), Brett (Joanne) and Rodney (Dianna) all of Port Clinton. Doug was preceded in death by his parents; step father Paul E Bordner, Sr. and a brother Ronald. Friends may call from 5-8 pm Monday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton where funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday with the Rev. David Gowen will officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Stein Hospice or the Catawba Island Fire Department.
