Donald L. Caldwell

Donald Leslie Caldwell, 83, of Lakeside, OH died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born October 28, 1931 in Toledo, OH the son of William and Marjorie (Nealand) Caldwell. He married Nancy Wainwright on June 19, 1955 and she survives. Mr. Caldwell graduated from the University of Toledo receiving a BS in Pharmacy. He owned and operated Perry Pharmacy in Port Clinton and also work as a pharmacist at H. B. Magruder Hospital retiring in 2005. He was currently attending Faith United Methodist Church in Port Clinton and is the longest serving member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, Lakeside. We was a member of the Lakeside Vol. Fire Dept. for 67 years serving as treasurer for 30 years and retired as Senior Chief; he was an Eagle Scout and Cub Master; member and past-president of Ottawa Co. Board of Health; member of Danbury Township Board of Zoning Appeals; member and past-president of Lakeside Association Bd. Of Trustees; member and past-secretary of Ottawa Co. E.M.S. Council and he represented Lakeside United Methodist Church on four overseas work mission projects; two in Haiti, one in Jamaica and one in Nevis. Surviving are his wife: Nancy; son: David Leslie Caldwell of Austin, TX; daughter: Diane Elizabeth (Edward) Graves of Hilliard, OH; grandchildren: Laura (Nathan) Barry, Rachel (Jordan) Patton, Chris Graves, Nathan Caldwell, Gabriella Caldwell, Malaena Caldwell; great-granddaughter: Hero Elizabeth Barry. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Daniel Caldwell. Memorial visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel. 7755 E.
