Dennis Tracy Nelson Trent

Dennis Tracy Nelson Trent, 51, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January, 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 2, 1963 in Port Clinton, the son of Tracy and Beverly (Smith) Trent. He was a 1981 graduate of Port Clinton High School and graduated from Terra Technical Community College. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as an aviation anti-sub war operator and participated in search and rescue for 4 years until he was honorably discharged. Dennis worked at the Port Clinton Fish Company and founded Denny's Heating and Air. Dennis was a member of the "Dad's Club" at the the Port Clinton VFW Post #2480, and also a member of the Port Clinton Eagles Lodge #2295. He enjoyed all sports, however, he was an avid bowler, bowling on leagues both in Port Clinton and Sandusky. He loved and cherished his family very much. Survivors include his parents: Tracy and Beverly Trent, Port Clinton; daughter: Samantha Trent (Craig) Avery, Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren: Savannah and Jaxx; sisters: Kathy Petersen, Port Clinton; Patsy (David) Brown, Enterprise, Alabama; Carmela (Jason) Blais, Fredericksburg, Virginia; former wife: Sophie Trevino-Sawyer; numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, especially child hood and life long friend Dick Segaard, Port Clinton Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 4-7pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Deron Fourman officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
