Delores "Susie" A. Bickley

Delores "Susie" A. Bickley, 73, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at her residence. She was born on October 11, 1941 in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Geno) Fuerstenberg. She married Daniel Bickley and he preceded her in death. Delores began her working career as a waitress at the Catawba Island Club, and then went to work at Silgan Plastics. She also owned and operated the Hot Dog Caboose on the corner of Bayshore Road and 269 for many years. In recent years, she ran the Sandusky Boat Ramp in Sandusky, Ohio, where she was actively involved in sponsoring fishing tournaments. She was a member of the Chapel on The Lake Church in Danbury Township. Her hobbies included making charm bracelets and necklaces; playing cards and Bingo; enjoying activities at the Danbury Senior Center and taking day trips. Survivors include her daughter: LouAnn Velliquette, Sandusky, Ohio; step-daughter: Cory Bickley, Port Clinton; step-son: Paul (Nancy) Bickley, Marblehead; daughter-in-law: Dana Velliquette, Florida; ten grandchildren: Quinn, Ashley, Maggie Sue, Chris, Brandon, Steffie, Danielle, Austin, Hannah, Cassandra; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Joann Fuerstenberg, Fremont, Ohio; Patricia "Pat" Fuerstenberg, Port Clinton; brother: David (Gloria) Fuerstenberg, Gypsum, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Daniel, son: Billy Jo Velliquette, and brother: William "Sonny" Fuerstenberg. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 2-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11am with Pastor Brad Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County; the Alzheimer's Association; or to the Special Olympics of St. Joe County of Indiana.
