Daniel V. Haley

Daniel V. Haley, 29 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away unexpectedly following an accident on Saturday, April 26, 2014. He was born October 11, 1984 in Painesville, OH to Daniel and Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" (Donnellon) Haley. He was a 2003 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and earned his Associates Degree from Terra Community College, Fremont, OH in Nuclear Power Technology. Dan was currently employed as a maintenance technician for Graham Packaging in Fremont. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. He is survived by his parents Daniel and Mary Beth Haley of Oak Harbor; brother Kevin (Tara) Haley of Oak Harbor; sisters: Meghan Haley of Clawson, MI and Catherine Haley of Detroit, MI; paternal grandparents Eugene and Elizabeth Haley of Emmett, MI; maternal grandfather James Donnellon of Emmett, MI; paternal aunts and uncles: Carol (Scott) Watson, Brian Haley, Nancy (William) Kimmel, Mary (Jon) Kershner and Terese (Ronald) Seagle; maternal aunts and uncles: James Donnellon, Patricia (David) Cieslik, Margaret (Jeffrey) Ropp, Janette (Mark) High, Timothy (Amy) Donnellon and Edward (Kristi) Donnellon; godson Brett Seagle as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Ann Donnellon. Dan was know not only by friends and family, but also perfect strangers for lending a helping hand to those in need. He was blessed with a mechanical mind and always enjoyed working with his hands to solve problems. Dan will be remembered for his willingness to fix a car for just a batch of cookies and his habit of always making those around him feel loved. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 2-7:30pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Oak Harbor Chapel, where a parish wake service will begin at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11am, with local visitation to begin at 10am, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 10828 Brandon Road, Emmett, MI 48022, with Fr. Tom Kuehnemund celebrant. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Kenockee Cemetery, Emmett, MI.
