Cliff Robert Welch, 79, of Fremont passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Countryside Manor in Fremont. He was born October 31, 1945 in Port Clinton, the son of Charles and Mary (Lucas) Welch. Cliff served his country in the United States Navy. He married Bonnie Dubbert on April 11, 1986. Cliff retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked for 32 years. He was an avid collector of stamps, coins, and Elvis memorabilia. Cliff was a life-long amateur radio operator and a travel enthusiast, traveling the county via motorhome with his wife and two dogs.
Surviving are his wife: Bonnie; daughter: Mary (Tony) Carpenter of Tennessee; step-children: Kimberly (Marlon) Pollock of Iwakuni Japan, Bill (Stephanie Beske) Cutler of Evansville, WI, Michelle (Joel Corsano) Cutler of Grove City, OH; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Mark Welch.
A celebration of Cliff’s life will be held at a later date.
