Clarence Eugene "Curly" St. Marie, 79, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center in Lakeside, Ohio. He was born on February 17, 1935 in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of the late Clarence J. and LeNora Josephine (Christiansen) St. Marie. He married Barbara Ann Carp in 1961 and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1998. He then married Delores "Dee" Burns on August 18, 2000 and she survives. Curly was a veteran of the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked as a tool & die maker at the Ford Motor Company in Sandusky until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead where he served as an usher and a greeter; member of the Stanley Jadwisiak VFW Post #7572 in Marblehead; member of the Knights of Columbus, and member of the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718. Survivors include his wife: Dee; daughters: Laurie (Dave) Mandella, Hawaii; Linda (Bob) Mraz, Strongsville, Ohio; Julie (Brian) Wright, Maumee, Ohio; Amy (Steve) Irving, Tiffin, Ohio; step-daughter: Karen (Nick) Marino, Maryland; step-sons: Michael (Mary Beth) Longo, Strongsville, Ohio; Gary Walker, Mentor, Ohio; grandchildren: Brittany Mazur, Samantha Mraz, Stephanie Mraz, Stacey Mraz, Patrick Wright, Anna Wright, David Irving; step-grandchildren: Michael (Lana) Longo, Christopher (Jill) Longo, Nicholas Longo, Nicole (Steve) Rice, Julie Walker, Joseph Marino, Nicholas (Caitlin) Marino; step-great-grandchildren: Cheyane Longo, Ava Longo, Hayden Rice, Kendall Rice; andbrother: James St. Marie, Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and LeNora; wife: Barb; infant daughter: Maryanne, step-son: James Walker; and brother: Donald St. Marie. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio where members of the St. Joseph Altar-Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 7pm. On Monday, March 24, 2014, additional visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead from 9am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am with Father Daniel J. Ring officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead, with military honors presented by members of VFW Post#7572. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice.
