Clara M Ohm

Clara M. Ohm, 98, of Port Clinton, died Friday morning December 18, 2009 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. She was born July 17, 1911 in Salem Township, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Plank) Hermes. On April 2, 1932, she married Jacob F. Ohm and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2002. Clara was a member since 1932 of Immaculate Conception Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing pinochle, was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed her time with her family. Clara will be sadly missed by her extended family. Surviving are her sons Eugene (Patricia) Ohm of Fremont and Gary (Kathy) Ohm of Catawba Island; eleven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sisters in law Mrs. Norbert Hermes, Mrs. Peter Hermes and Mrs. Alverna Robel. In addition to her husband and parents, Clara was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Mazur, brothers Raymond, Peter and Norbert Hermes; sisters Mary Winke, Magdelene Hopfinger, Regina Gumb, Agnes Hoff and Anna Rose Molnar. Friends may call from 1 - 5 pm Sunday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton where funeral services will be at 10 am Monday. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church or Otterbein Northshore.
