Charlotte L. Demshok

Charlotte Lucy Demshok, 93, of Lakeside, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at The Commons of Providence in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on January 19, 1922 in Mayfield Village, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Lucy (Weston) Scheuring. On October 12, 1946 she married Joseph Demshok and he survives. Charlotte graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in education, where she was also a member of the Alpha Gamma Sorority and Alumni Association. She taught at Lyford Cay School in Nassau, Bahamas for 5 years, and then at Danbury Local Schools, retiring in 1975. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; daughters: Lynne (Dan) Madden, of Marblehead, Ohio; Gwen Stamper, of Gaithersburg, MD; and Jill (Craig) Waldron, of Lakeside, Ohio; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Connie Foulke and Carol Weagraff. Family and friends are invited to visit from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2015 in the Rick Ryan Room of the Commons of Providence Assisted Living, Sandusky, Ohio, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Interment will take place at a later date in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danbury Township Fire and EMS.
