C. Kenton Dye, Jr.

C. Kenton Dye, Jr, 85, of Catawba Island, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at H. B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born August 9, 1922 in Mansfield, OH the son of the late Corlette K. and Sophia (Klippel) Dye. He married Catharine “Kitty” Bushnell on Feb. 19, 1949. Mr. Dye was a Data Processing Manager for United Technologies, Inc. He was a member of the United States Power Squadron, Port Clinton Unit where he was active as a past treasurer, served on the Bow Line Staff and was a past roster chairman. He loved living on Catawba Island the past 25 years and enjoyed camping, reading and loved computer work. He is survived by his wife: Kitty; son: David A. (Sharon) Dye of Naperville, IL; daughter: Ellen Marie (Bill) Allen of Lawrenceville, GA; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Virginia Marie Dye and Frances Parmeter. Memorial services will be conducted by the United States Power Squadron at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside—Marblehead where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of the service. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County or the United States Power Squadron.
