Bryan Alan Ottney

Bryan Alan Ottney, 38 of Findlay, OH and formerly of Elmore, OH, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. The son of John and Jennifer (Ladd) Ottney, Bryan was born June 22, 1977 in Toledo, OH. He was a 1996 graduate of Woodmore High School and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. Bryan worked in the restaurant industry in the Toledo and Findlay area until his illness. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Hancock County Agency on Aging Senior Center. Bryan was a huge sports fan, loving the Buckeyes and the Detroit Tigers. Survivors include his parents John and Jennifer Ottney of Elmore; son Aidan Corbin of Olmstead Township, OH; paternal grandparents Alfred and Janet Ottney; aunts and uncles: Michelle (Rick) DeVore, Casey (Charmaine) Ladd, Gretchen (Joe) Meholavitz, Pam Shammo, Tom (Bonny) Ottney, Doug (Minnie) Ottney and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Don Ladd and Mary Ladd. Bryan will be missed by his good friend Tom Rectorschek. A Memorial Service will begin at 11am Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore , 448 Rice Street, with the family to receive friends an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John's U.C.C. Hancock County Center for the Aging, or a charity of the donor's choice. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service.
