Betty Jane (Roepke) Bennett

Betty Jane (Roepke) Bennett, 89, of Port Clinton, OH died Friday, July 15, 2016 at Riverview Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor, OH under Hospice care. She was born August 1, 1926 in Elmore, OH to the late Edward and Luella (Kranz) Roepke. She was a 1944 graduate of Harris- Elmore High School and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. Betty spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter Debbie Symonette of Marietta, GA; sisters Lucille Faist of Gibsonburg, OH, Joanne (Robert) Bruning of Pemberville, OH, and Diane Fowler of Port Clinton, OH; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Bennett, brothers: Edward Roepke Jr., Infant Donald Roepke, James Roepke, Charles Roepke, and David Roepke, and brother- in- law Carl Faist. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 19550 W. State Route 51, Elmore, OH with Vicar Eric Johnson officiating. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are to be made to Stein Hospice.
