Bertha E. Butler

Bertha E. Butler, 85, of Port Clinton, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born Nov. 6, 1929 in Kentucky, the daughter of Willie and Vallie (Wilburn) Royster. She married Richard Butler on May 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1998. Mrs. Butler enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning and embroidering. She loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughter: Shirley Key of Port Clinton, son: Larry Butler of Port Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-grteat-grandchildren; brothers: Junior, Bobby, Roy; sisters: Sharon and Margaret. She was preceded in deeath by her parents, husband, children: daughter--Mary, twins--Goldie Wood and Milford Butler, son--John Butler, and daughter--Kathy Grotz. Private graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
