Becky Jo Giesler, 46 of Elmore, OH passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2025 from Glioblastoma. She was born December 16, 1978 in Toledo, OH to John and Robin (Pfaff) Evans. She was a 1997 graduate of Springfield High School. On March 1, 2003 she married Matt Giesler with whom she had 3 beautiful children and built a life on their family farm. Becky shared many fond childhood memories of her and her brother Jacob spending time with their Grandma and Grandpa Pfaff and as a young adult, benefitting from her relationship with her Grandma Mary. She valiantly battled the cancer for 10 months, even earning her black belt in Tae Kwon Do this year on April 25th following her recovery from surgery in November of 2024.
Becky was a hard worker and owned her own cleaning business early in adulthood. Becky had a love of animals that was second to none. She enjoyed her many horses and kept a herd of dairy goats to help feed her family. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, photography, soap making and was an extremely talented artist. She was a most loving and caring mother who raised her children in the knowledge of God, instilling in them the love and compassion she possessed.
She diligently volunteered as a CASA for many years helping the lives of many children. She also volunteered at Nature’s Nursery rescuing animals, teaching children and enriching the lives of their ambassadors. Becky was an advisor for the Ribbon Wranglers 4-H club of Sandusky County and was instrumental in its creation. Becky was an active member of the Church of God, Toledo, the United Church of God and had a strong faith. Becky had a smile and aura that would brighten every room she entered. Words cannot express how big her heart was. She touched the lives of countless people in a positive way.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years Matt Giesler; her children: Dylan, Nathanial and Gabrielle Giesler; brother Jacob (Kelly) Evans; grandfather Joseph Pfaff; father John (Diane) Evans; mother Robin; ½ brother Colin Evans; ½ sister Angela Evans; step-brother Sam Kralovic; and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Joyce Pfaff, grandmother Mary Evans and grandfather Bill Evans.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 5-8pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 19550 W. SR 51, Elmore, OH 43416. Additional visitation will begin at 10am on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Ole Zim’s Wagon Shed, 1375 SR 590, Gibsonburg, OH 43431, where Services will begin at 11am and a dinner to follow. Per Becky’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes be interred on the family farm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to CASA of Sandusky/Seneca County, Nature’s Nursery, or United Church of God.
