Barbara A Bice

Barbara A. Bice, 64, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. She was born on April 19, 1950 in Port Clinton, the daughter of W. Arthur and Anna L. (Vollmer) Conn. On April 20, 1968 she married George F. Bice, Sr. and he survives. Barb worked for the Port Clinton City Schools, starting out by driving school bus for over 20 years, and when she wasn't driving school bus, she helped out as a playground aide. Recently, she was the transportation supervisor until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton; member of the Port Clinton VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and member of the Port Clinton Women of the Moose. She enjoyed crocheting, camping with her family in Mohican, playing BINGO, and trips to Hollywood Casino in Toledo. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren as they were the love of her life. Survivors include her husband, George; son: George (Angela) Bice II, Port Clinton; grandsons: George Bice III and Cameron Bice; her mother: Anna; brothers: D. Walter Conn, and Arthur Carl "Russ" Conn; sisters: Donna (Harry) Butterbaugh, Kathy (Eugene) Livas, and Virginia Conn; and her canine companion and sidekick: Peanut. She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother: Charles Raymond Conn. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, 2014 from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 9, 2014 at LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, OH. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or Erie Township Fire Department, 5585 W. Harbor Rd., Lacarne, OH 43439.
