Anne L. (Heineman) Crowe, 89, of Catawba Island, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba. She was born on February 16, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert and Lorene (Strauss) Heineman. On May 8, 1993 she married Clarence E. "Hook" Crowe and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2015. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Our Lady of Cincinnati College, and her Masters of Social Work from Catholic University of America in Washington DC. Anne worked in various medical and social service agencies in Cincinnati and Dayton before retiring to Put-in-Bay, Ohio in 1988. She was a dispatcher and clerk of courts for the Put-in-Bay village and also worked for Perrys Cave. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Altar Rosary Society. She loved music, gardening, birds, and especially people and her faith. She cherished family and friends alike and looks forward to reuniting with those who have gone to God before her. Survivors include her step-daughters, Sharon (Leon) Mann, Whitehouse, Ohio, Linda (David) Frederick, Put-in-Bay, Ohio and Kathleen (William) Brown, Lima, Ohio; eight step-grandchildren; numerous step great-grandchildren; numerous cousins in the Cincinnati and local area who were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Patricia Heineman. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 9 am until prayers at 10:30 am at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father John Missler officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2pm at St. Joseph New Cemetery, 4500 Foley Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238.
