Anna L. Conn

Anna L. Conn, 87, of Port Clinton, OH, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born in Port Clinton on September 25, 1927, a daughter of Carl & Agnes (Sonnichsen) Vollmer. Anna was a retired employee of the former Standard Products in Port Clinton, and was active at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses near Oak Harbor. On October 26, 1949, she married William A. Conn, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2005. Anna enjoyed sewing and reading, and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are her children, Russ C. Conn of Kansas, Donna J. (Harry) Butterbaugh, Shreve, OH, Kathy L. (Eugene) Livas, Port Clinton, Virginia C. Conn, Canton, GA, and George "Bud" Bice, Port Clinton; brothers, David (Bonnie) Vollmer of Louisiana, Tom (Kathryn) Vollmer, Port Clinton, and Bob (Mickie) Vollmer, Buffalo, NY; and niece, Carol Kuhn, Fostoria, OH; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; children, Barbara A. Bice, Donald W. Conn, and Charles Raymond Conn; brothers, Charlie, William, and Jimmy Vollmer; sisters, Edythe VanVoorhis, Shirley Sanicky, and Virginia "Gin" Vollmer; and a granddaughter, Teresa Conn. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-8 P.M. Monday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday. Interment will be in LaCarpe Cemetery, Erie Township. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
