Lois Jean (Barker) Brown Rice

Lois Jean (Barker) Brown Rice, 84, of Port Clinton, OH died January 25, 2015 at her residence. She was born December 30, 1930 in Gundy, VA the daughter of Thurman A. and Jennie P. (Stiltner) Barker. She married Clyde Rice on July 2, 1976 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1995. Lois worked at The New Departure Plant in Sandusky, OH. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness and she enjoyed attending the conventions and assemblies. She enjoyed reading, shopping, watching QVC and spending time with her family. She was always with one of her daughters. Surviving are her daughters: Betty (Robert) Hensley of Port Clinton, Anna Riedmaier of Port Clinton; son-in-law: Russell Beaver of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Robert (Jennifer) Hensley II, Shannon (Michael) Herevia, Russell (Kym) Beaver, Mellissa (Mark) Matousek, Lois Myosky; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother: Ralph Barker. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Port Clinton Chapel, where visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Interment services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, KY. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
