Julia Ruth Glovinsky

September 25, 1928 — April 9, 2015

Julia Ruth Guess Glovinsky, 86 years of age passed away April 9th, 2015 . She was born on September 25, 1928 in Port Clinton, Ohio the daughter of Louis and Susan (Holly) Guess. She lived her entire life in Port Clinton, Ohio most of it in Bay Township in a home on the Portage River. Julia loved the outdoors and working on the farm. She worked at Standard Products for over forty years and was a member of the UAW. She also ran a solid waste business in Port Clinton for a number of years. She worked as a volunteer for 27 years on the board of elections. Julia was always very proud of her children and grandsons. She owned a camping grounds and made many good friends through the years with those who came. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Julia was known for her delicious cabbage rolls that she made by the hundreds, her love for animals, her positive and never complaining attitude, and her will to help others. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Glovinsky whom she married on November 15, 1952 and her parents and brother, Paul Binns, and her close cousins, the Molnar boys, Paul, Bob and Dave She is survived by her children Karen Rogalski (Francis), Janet Zunk (Timothy) and Denton Glovinsky and four grandsons Brooks, Blaine, and Chase Rogalski and Garret Zunk; and numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves many good friends. When you see a butterfly remember Julia, she will be watching over us. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 2-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, where members of the Altar-Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 6:30pm. On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, prayers will begin at 9:30am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father John C. Missler officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to either Bay Township Fire Department or to Stein Hospice.
