Donald E. “Bud” Henry, 80, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at his home. He was born on April 5, 1927, a son of L.R. “Mike” & Odessa (Neeb) Henry. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Don served on the USS Baltimore in the South Pacific. He was a 37 year employee of the Sun Oil Refinery in Toledo, retiring in 1980. Don enjoyed fishing, and was a charter boat captain on Lake Erie for many years with several boats named “O Henry”. He also enjoyed hunting and took many trips to Moose Head Lake in Maine. Don leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Dolores (Sandwisch) Henry; sons, Paul (Diane) Henry, Michael (Barb) Henry, Martin (Joanne) Henry; daughters, Mary Henry, Pamela (Joseph) Hagerty, BethAnn (James) Leach; grandsons, Nathan, Dustin (Jen), Dinan, Daniel, Matthew, Cole Henry Leach; granddaughter, Carol-Lynn Henry; brother, Nelson (Betty) Henry, and sister, Jeanette Leutz. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Elmore.
